The Allgäu is known for its many outdoor sports - if you like to move around outdoors, this is the place to be.
A particularly popular activity is of course hiking. On the numerous hiking trails you can not only experience nature up close, but also smell the scent of the lush mountain meadows and the clean mountain air. Through rustic forests and high up on the mountains - usually you are rewarded with an impressive view of the Allgäu Alps and the Alpine foothills.
For example, a visit to the Gorge of Pöllat, right next to Neuschwanstein Castle, is a good idea. From there you can reach the Marien Bridge and have one of the most beautiful views of the fairytale castle and the King's Angle.
Create your individual hiking tour and explore the Allgäu region. Enjoy the nature and the view of our beautiful foothills of the Alps while hiking. The length of the respective tour depends entirely on your needs.

Canyoning allows you to marvel at the course and power of the water in a fascinating natural landscape that would always remain inaccessible on "normal paths". You slide and jump into crystal-clear pools, rappel down into thunderous waterfalls. All this makes up the fascination of canyoning. In addition, there is of course the thirst for adventure and a large portion of courage, which is demanded of a "canyoner" at every turn.
You can book various basic and special courses with the Canyoning Team Allgäu.
In addition, you will certainly find a few fellow campers with whom you can go on a round of bowling, e.g. to the Royal Crystal Baths at the Kurpark.
On a rainy day the whole family will have a lot of fun with the Microbowling Alley in the Castle Brewery in Schwangau.
Sportrafting on the Lech. Here you can find everything a rafting heart desires - a landscape similar to Canada's, a wild river and pure nature. That is what sport rafting on the Lech is like.
Rafting for beginners and advanced.
The Golf Club on the Gsteig in Lechbruck am See owes its name of the extensive golf course to the farm "Auf der Gsteig". Today's modern clubhouse with all necessary facilities was once its agricultural part. The 18-hole course covers about 96 hectares and guarantees fun for players of all levels. The course is located in the Swabian - Upper Bavarian foothills of the Alps, northwest above the holiday resort of Lechbruck am See and south of the Bernbeuern district of Echerschwang. The view of the Bavarian, Allgäu and Tyrolean Alps is of course particularly attractive.
Whether you want to learn this fascinating sport as a beginner or discover the course as a guest player - here, where the most beautiful holiday regions, the East Allgäu and the Pfaffenwinkel border each other, you are always at the right address. Perfect to experience and enjoy golf in the midst of a dreamlike pre-alpine landscape at the foot of the mountain Auerberg. The golf course with its slightly hanging fairways and greens is challenging to play - a good eye is required here. In order to reach the green, it is always crucial how precisely the respective shots are taken. No course can be compared to another, so the game remains varied and exciting.
The golf course Alpenseehof in Nesselwang belongs to the Alpenseehof farm, where you can ideally combine the typical Allgäu farm holiday with wellness and golf. The golf course is beautifully situated on the Attlesee landscape and nature reserve with a view of the Allgäu Alps. The area includes: an 18-hole stepped putting green (approx. 700 square metres in size); a pitching and chipping green including sand bunkers; a driving range with mat and grass tees; four covered tees with practice targets and five golf courses. To play on the courses, however, a license is required.
